Three more people are being prosecuted in the criminal case of the assassination attempt against RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak. They are minors, and a measure of restraint in the form of a prohibition of certain actions has been applied against them. Before this, Moscow's Basmanny Court had told TASS that the previously chosen measure of restraint was extended until October 14, 2025.
The youths are also accused of beating people of Asian appearance.
As the FSB had previously reported to TASS, on July 14, 2024, members of the neo-Nazi group "Paragraph-88" were arrested in Moscow and the Ryazan Oblast, who were conducting surveillance on the work and residence addresses of Simonyan and Sobchak. During the investigative actions, the detainees confirmed the preparation of the assassination attempts on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine, in exchange for a reward of 1.5 million rubles for each murder.
